THE JOKER - DELUXE EDITION
LIMITED EDITION 300 PIECES
Batman HQS+ had well noticed his passage through the dark streets of Gotham city… He is lurking around to tell us his story, or rather his 2 stories, thanks to his new concept of interchangeable scenes: here is the inimitable The Joker - Deluxe Edition - HQS Dioramax (1/6)!
In the first version of the story, the Joker is rescued by Harley Quinn enacting her plan to break him out of Arkham. The name of the ominously famous Arkham Azylum is featured in its towering capital letters on the fence whose deterrent spikes are reminiscent of a bat. Placing the "Danger Do Not Enter" sign inside the gate, the Joker finds himself in front of the asylum and its armored doors tagged by his dedicated criminal. There are messages in red such as Puddin, the affectionate nickname she gives to the Joker accompanied by a heart, "Free the Joker", his emblematic laugh HAHA on the Arkham logo or her 4 symbolic diamonds. As he escapes from the asylum, the Joker, ankles and wrists handcuffed, wears his orange prisoner outfit inspired by the costumes of the criminals locked up in Arkham and more particularly the Batman v1. JUNE (06) 1940. comics in which he made his first appearance. We then notice his registration number BV 1061940 written on both sides of his prisoner’s uniform. Much like his favorite nemesis Batman HQS+, the Joker was modeled after the designs of Jim Lee, his outrageous clownish makeup cutting edge with his green hair and blood red lips framing his gigantic sharp smile.
Exfiltrating the asylum hanging on a greenish balloon, his exit from the stage shows clearly his colors... The idea of this balloon filled with laughing gas is taken from the 1989 Batman movie, its design recalling the eccentric expression of the one who helps him to escape. We then notice that the ribbon in the symbolic colors of Harley Quinn holds a bomb attached to the balloon, while the detonator finds refuge in the Joker’s left hand... Proudly wearing their uniform from the Arkham Asylum Living hell comics, the 3 guards watching the entry have no chance of escaping, unlike the prisoner... Initially contained in a brown bag, the bottles release their laughing gas in greenish transparent resin, similar to the balloon, asphyxiating or projecting into the air the officers immediately removed from their function. The latter varnished and painted in pink and green tones feature the Joker’s crazy smile and his characteristic HAHA as a claim. Ending their agony, two rabid hyenas are jumping at their throats, the cards twirling around their prey taking inspiration from the Joker card that appeared in the supervillain’s first story. Harley Quinn’s pets, Bud and Lou, found in miniature version on the key ring attached to the balloon, wear their spiked red collars and happily carry out the bloody orders of their mistress. Hanging from the surveillance camera, Harley Quinn’s red and black hammer is swaying, while the LEDs of the flashlight, digital code and tagged projector highlight the infallible strategy of the talented player who wins the game with the spectacular release of her Joker!
In the second interpretation of the story, the Joker makes a spectacular intrusion into Arkham Asylum to in turn sow panic and chaos. By returning the armored door with the logo of the sinister place of detention and by hanging the sign "Danger Do Not Enter" on the outside fence, the Joker finds himself inside the asylum. Inspired by Jim Lee’s designs, the character is here replaced by his version wearing his iconic purple, green and orange 3-piece suit with matching flower and golden cane, as well as his black and white gloves and patent Oxfords. Infiltrated into that place of terror thanks to his interchangeable greenish balloon, its design is reminiscent of the eccentric expression of the one who helped him to implement his toxic plan. Asphyxiated by the greenish transparent resin gas escaping from the bottles with the singular colors of the Joker, the 3 guards taken by surprise do not have time to react and even less to breathe... The LEDs of the projector, flashlight and door digicode simultaneously highlight the success of the operation masterfully carried out by the Joker and the inability of the guards to retaliate. His sharp smile and iconic HAHA cover the black plinth, the Joker laughing heartily at the cynicism of events. The Quinn of hearts helped him win the game, so here is the next card to play!
